Arriving for Your Session
You arrive at the clinic for your scheduled Spravato session. Because Spravato can cause temporary dizziness and altered perception, you cannot drive yourself home. Arrange for a trusted person to pick you up or use a rideshare service after each session.
Self-Administration Under Supervision
Under direct medical supervision, you self-administer the Spravato nasal spray. Your provider instructs you on correct technique and monitors you throughout the session. Most patients rest comfortably in a clinical chair during the session.
Two-Hour Observation Period
You remain at the clinic for at least two hours after administration. Clinical staff monitor your blood pressure, any dissociative symptoms, and overall response. These effects typically resolve fully within the observation window.
