Avery Erickson, LMSW
Therapist
Avery Erickson is a Licensed Master Social Worker serving adolescents and adults in the Charleston area. Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, she has called the Lowcountry home since early childhood. Avery earned her Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of South Carolina and her undergraduate degree from Clemson University.
Avery has facilitated both group and individual therapy across inpatient, outpatient, and residential settings, working with clients navigating depression, anxiety, grief, relationship challenges, and life transitions. She draws from a range of evidence-based modalities, with a primary focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), blending empathy with practical insight to help clients recognize the patterns behind current obstacles and build the tools to move past them. Avery is committed to creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients of all faiths, ethnicities, gender identities, and sexual orientations feel heard, understood, and supported on their path toward healing and personal growth.
Outside the office, Avery enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading, practicing yoga, and exploring Charleston’s local restaurant scene.
