Whole-Person Psychiatric Care Grounded in Science
About Dr. Perviz
Dr. Amira Perviz is a board-certified psychiatrist whose approach to mental health care reflects both scientific rigor and genuine compassion. She earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Midwestern University's Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her psychiatry residency at Creighton University School of Medicine in Phoenix, building a foundation that blends traditional psychiatric training with osteopathic medicine's whole-person philosophy.
At the heart of Dr. Perviz's practice is a commitment to understanding the full spectrum of biological, psychological, and social factors that shape mental health. She believes no two patients are alike, and she invests the time necessary to develop treatment plans that are as individual as the people she serves.
Dr. Perviz has a strong interest in innovative treatment modalities and stays current with emerging evidence-based approaches. At Turnwell Mental Health of Alpharetta, she offers medication management, TMS therapy, and Spravato® for patients who have not found relief through traditional treatments.
Outside of clinical practice, Dr. Perviz finds inspiration in travel and immersing herself in different cultures, a perspective that enriches the inclusive, culturally sensitive care she brings to every patient encounter. Her patients describe her as attentive, detail-oriented, and genuinely invested in their wellbeing.
